MAXIME LAURIN

Maxime Laurin was born in 1995 in the South Shore of Montreal. He developed a passion for becoming a stuntman after engaging in extreme sports, particularly slope-style snowboarding, during his teenage years. His journey in the movie industry began at the age of 19, and he has since amassed over 40 credits, primarily in stunts. Some notable film credits include Transformers, Polar, Violent Night, and the television series Reacher, Fubar, Titans, among others. He also worked as performer and artist coach for Cirque Du Soleil in Montreal and Las Vegas on the production of R.U.N. Maxime has gained recognition in the stunt industry for his expertise in filming and editing pre-visual action scenes provided to directors before production. Additionally, during the pandemic in 2020, he ventured into directing short films. Despite working with limited budgets, he has successfully produced six short films across various genres, including horror, sci-fi, comedy, and drama. His films have garnered acclaim in the film festival circuit, with achievements such as being a quarter finalist at the VIFF, category winner at the MIFF, and an annual finalist and category winner at IndieX Film Festival. While Maxime thoroughly enjoys crafting action sequences, his focus in the past three years has shifted towards the art of storytelling through visual mediums. In 2023, he established his own production company Neon Seed Films. Within the company, he undertakes multiple roles, including directing, producing, operating the camera, serving as a director of photography (DOP), and editing. Maxime is a recent graduate of the Core Directing Program at the Sundance Collab.

CAITLIN MCNERNEY

Caitlin McNerney is a multi-disciplinary artist born to American parents in Washington, DC. Her early years were spent in the U.K., and at the age of 7, her family moved to Geneva, Switzerland. During her childhood, Caitlin explored various artistic pursuits, starting with gymnastics and dance. At the age of 16 she won the esteemed 'Prix du Jury' for her Jazz Dance solo at the European Dance Competition in Lyon, France. Around the same time, she discovered her love for singing and became actively involved in her high school's a cappella and jazz band. After completing her high school education in a French-German bilingual program with a specialization in Ancient Greek and Music, Caitlin furthered her education at the University of Exeter in the UK. She pursued a BA in Modern Languages, studying Russian, Italian, and Spanish. During her time at the university, Caitlin's passion for performing arts remained strong, and she engaged wholeheartedly with the musical theatre clubs on campus, taking part in over 10 productions either as a cast member, assistant-director, or choreographer. During her third year of university, she lived in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where she applied to an acting program at the prestigious State Institute of Performing Arts. There she studied acting, dance, and singing entirely in Russian alongside local students. This experience left an indelible mark on Caitlin, and she cherishes it as one of the most unique accomplishments of her life. After returning to England and completing her languages degree with First Class honors, she pursued a Master's degree in Music Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. With her Master's in hand, she embarked on a professional career in Musical Theatre, performing in the UK and abroad for over three years. Unexpectedly, Caitlin's path shifted towards stunt work when she was cast in a stage show involving fight choreography. Encouraged by her peers, she embraced this new avenue wholeheartedly. She honed her skills at the CUC in France and quickly landed a role with the Cirque du Soleil show R.U.N, which had a residency on the Las Vegas strip. From that point on, she performed as a stunt double in major productions such as Fast X, The Hunger Games, and Reacher Season 2. Caitlin’s artistic journey is continuously evolving and presently, she is busy filming a recurring acting role in five episodes of a TV show on Amazon Prime and a supporting role in a new feature film. She has also ventured into screenwriting, crafting several award-winning short film scripts and a one-hour pilot that gained recognition in various screenwriting competitions. She is currently based in Canada.

DEVON SLACK

Devon Slack, from Prince Rupert, BC, discovered her love for storytelling at a young age, fearlessly taking charge of productions in her mother's daycare. Her artistic journey was influenced by a decade of dedicated dance study, fostering a deep-rooted passion for the art form of performance. Her journey into the world of entertainment began at the age of 19 when she decided to immerse herself in the film industry, eager to learn every aspect of the craft. Living In Vancouver BC she started as a Production Assistant on films like "This Means War" and "Mission Impossible," she quickly expanded her skills and knowledge by working on various short films and collaborating with up-and-coming filmmakers. Devon's diverse experience in the entertainment industry includes acting, directing, photography, producing, coaching, stunting, and writing mentorship. Her ardor for supporting others and working as part of a team has been a driving force behind her success, recognizing that filmmaking and art are a collective experience. One of Devon's significant achievements includes starring as the lead actor in the Quebec film "Yankee," directed by Stéphan Beaudoin and written by Sophie-Anne Beaudry. The film was specifically crafted for Devon to display her acting and fighting talents. During the shoot, she had the opportunity to take workshops with renowned Canadian playwright Judith Thompson, delving into the essence of narrative expression. Devon possesses a wide-ranging experience in the entertainment industry, from co-hosting Nickelodeon's "Rank the Prank" with Apartment 11 to stunt performing in acclaimed productions all over Canada like “WarCraft”, ”The 100," "X-Men," "Sirens," and "Orphan Black." Her versatility and passion for filmmaking shine through in every aspect. Throughout her career, Devon has honed her acting skills by studying the art form for five years, traveling to cities like New York, Rome, Toronto, Montréal, and LA, continually seeking new artistic techniques. Devon's dedication to her craft goes beyond the silver screen. She firmly believes that the creative arts have the power to heal and transform, which led her to incorporate Reiki into her work. Guided by her intuition, she sees storytelling as a transformative experience and embraces her psychic abilities, using all available tools in her creative endeavours. With a passion for collaboration and a deep understanding of storytelling, Devon Slack brings a unique and valuable perspective to the world of film and production. Her desire to create meaningful, funny, dramatic, and honest films drives her work, making her an invaluable asset to any artistic project.
